Besides the intensive workshop sessions, the LJJO particiates in outstanding stage appearances - both in Germany and abroad - and CD productions with international soloists. Making music with well-known jazz stars is a challenge for the band members and is an important part of their studies.

Arrangers
The Hessian State Youth Jazz Orchestra performs not only standards from mainstream jazz but has also made a speciality of performing titles, which have been exclusively composed or arranged for the orchestra by prominent arrangers from the international jazz scene.
